Psychoneuroimmunology Next>
Pyschoneuroimmunology provides cancer patients with a crucial means of healing. It investigates the dynamic connection between emotional attitudes, beliefs and thoughts and physical health. It also takes into account the interconnectedness of the patient's body, mind and spirit, and offers a means of psychological treatment for the patient as a whole.
The program's central premise is that individuals' beliefs, emotions, attitudes, lifestyle, as well as trust in their medical treatment, greatly affect their health and ability to heal.
We use psychoneuroimmunology by teaching patients how to direct their thoughts and emotions to enhance immune functions --they instruct the immune system to see and recognize the tumor. We then direct the brain to use visualization processes to place markers on the site of the tumor and destroy it.
Psychoneuroimmunology takes advantage of the brain's production of important neuropeptides that stimulate the action of the immune system's T-cells and direct them to attack the tumor. Our thoughts and emotions affect the levels of different neuropeptides in the brain. These neuropeptides are chemical messengers that direct levels of activity of the endocrine, immune, and other systems.
The Creative Visualization Process.
The Creative visualization process is part of our psychoneuroimmunology program.
The patient is instructed to visualize his body and mind, and to sense and relax his entire body one step at a time, from head to toe. While thinking of his toes, breathing deeply and visualizing, the patient feels his toes relax. Once he relaxes his entire body, we teach him to visualize God, or a space ship going to the affected organ or tumor and assisting the T-cells to start attacking it.
This psychoimmunological technique sends peptides and neuropeptides from the brain, and transfers information to the T-cells, directing them to attack and destroy the tumor.
